Creator's Biography

DATIUS FELIX is the Tanzanian Stand Up Comedian, Concept writer, Theme thinker and Script writer for Media Advertisement, Creative Brand Mention, Public Awareness, Events humour and Promotion Comic messages . He started by writing and Selling motivational songs, jingles and dramatic Radio Commercials. He contested for First Cheka Tu Comedy Auditions Powered by Wasafi Media and achieved Cheka Tu Stand Up Comedy Mentorship and Platform. 

Other Careers 

He was born Datius Felix Kalokola in Kagera Tanzania. After completing his high school, he was inspired in Media and Entertainment business after matching his ideas with what Artists and Creative agencies were doing. He spent his time before joining the higher education to make some initiatives and think on how to go about. Because he had discovered his talents in various art aspects including song writing and composing, story writing and still in academic progress, he revealed his motto as “Combining my talents and skills”.

He joined the Institute of Finance Management (IFM) in Dar es Salaam for ICT studies.  Being a second year student in 2007, he recorded his first song demo, for the song titled “Miss Tanzania” which carried the theme for “Branding Tanzania through Beauty and Culture”. He channeled the proposal to the former organiser, LINO INTERNATIONAL AGENCY and he was invited to express the idea behind the theme. He also discovered his singing talent during the recording of that first song demo.

He limitlessly commercialized his contents by working as Blogger through writing Inspirational Stories and Documentaries for his own Blog SEMADAT, www.semadat.blogspot.com. Also became African Culture devotee and stakeholder for cultural tourism through creating and organising the cultural art group by infusing related contents, traditional Language and published www.taulatamaduni.blogspot.com, a Blog for recycling his home traditional Sayings and other Cultural aspects.The project that was branded TAULA TAMADUNI. 

Has momentarily worked with CRDB Bank as Marketing and Public Relations Personnel, Website editor and Social Media representative before joining various Sales and Marketing Agencies in Dar es Salaam, and currently working with MALI JUICE COMPANY under Muleba Agricultural and Local Industries (MALI) as Head of Sales and Marketing.

Early life

He was born on 14th January 1983. He is the third of Seven children from the family of the late Mr Felix Kalokola who was a Private Accountant and Mrs Philotea Kalokola who was a Clerk Magistrate at Bukoba High Court. He grew up ambitiously with academic excellence, in love with science and quietly with great passion of Lyrical, Melodic, Fine and Performing arts.

His journey started at Tumaini primary school in Bukoba from 1991. He was unfortunately injured by Grenade Bomb together with other 85 pupils at that school and four were killed. That happened in 31st August 1994 during the school parade, when he was in standard four. Because it took about three months to recover, he couldn’t go back to school the same year. But he was able to attend the standard four national examinations in October 1994 with walking sticks, one of his legs with Plaster of Paris (P.O.P). He healthily continued with standard five the next year 1995. The Bomb was picked by innocent pupils away from school environment and they brought it to school thinking it was a toy.

He completed the primary education as Best Pupil in Academics in 1997, joined Bukoba seconday school for Ordinary level studies in 1998 and passed with First Division after graduation in 2001, with “A” grade in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics together with the Award as best student in discipline. He was among the students selected for special schools in 2002 and joined Kibaha High School in Coast Region for Advanced secondary education.
